My Little Bookworm

I always hoped to have a daughter who loved books as much as I do. When Tahlia was newborn we would try to read her books but she never had the patience for it. Lately though, she has become really obsessed - which is great! I have to be careful what I wish for though, because we have to read the same books over and over and over to her. Sandra Boynton books are her favorite (take note - Patti!).

So, we'll get to the last page of a book and she starts fussing until I start it over again. I know there have been times when I've read the same book to her 10 times in a row or more. And, she is a speed reader. She turns the pages so fast that I barely have time to get the words out.

Anyway, I do love it. When we cuddle on the sofa together with a book, it's everything I ever daydreamed about. She's my sweet little bookworm.

Oh and on a totally unrelated note - today Chris' mom found Tahlia in her playpen. She was supposed to be napping but instead she was playing in there and had taken off her pants! I think we have a little nudist in the family.

Tahlita is already a bookworm. How cool is that! I am not surprised. I noticed how responsive she was about the world around her when she still was a tiny baby. I wonder how is she going to react to her äbuelitos". She will have plenty to be curious about us!

Have you started her on War & Peace, or better yet, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell? :-D

Maybe she's taking after the girls that brought home 6 books from the Florence library EVERY Saturday.
